So what is the deal with the regional situation? Will there be one? will anything be organized? If not, will the torch be passed to someone willing to do it?
The burner community is really beginning to grow here in nm, it would be a shame to see another year go by and have the general response to be "to go to toast or apogea." not that they're bad events. I just want to see something happen here.

Re: Regional?
Tue, March 11, 2008 - 11:41 AMFrom what I have heard and seen, the main reason for the lack of a 3SW BM regional is that in the past, even though most participants were burners, the clean up after the event was off the charts, and a lack of respect and common sense was gaining the attention of Johny Law. For some reason the concept of "Leave No Trace" just doesn't seem to work. Perhaps its just the brainwashed "consumer/waster" mentality this country is so loved and adored for. That, and there has been little interest in helping maintain the land. Say there is a party, and 40 people will show, say there is a work weekend to prepare for an event and we are lucky to see more then 5 people show. Maybe, if there was a little more give, and a little less take it might come to fruition again in the future...
Just the thought of the somewhat cynical...
